The co-developers of Iris are

A. Chapin Rodriguez, PhD
Chapin began his career conducting research at the interface of cell and molecular biology, structural biology and biochemistry. He completed his BSc at Duke University (US) as an Angier B. Duke Scholar and his PhD at the University of Cambridge (UK) as a Marshall Scholar. After postdoctoral research at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (US), Chapin has been working nearly two decades as an independent consultant in scientific communication for biomedical researchers and institutions in the US, Europe and Asia.
Professor Philip A. Wigge
Phil began his career in yeast genetics and later moved into plant biology. He received an MSc from the University of Oxford and PhD from the University of Cambridge (UK). After postdoctoral work at the Salk Institute (US), he led research groups at the John Innes Centre (UK), the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology (DE) and the Sainsbury Laboratory of Cambridge University (UK). He is currently Professor (W3) in Plant Adaptation at the University of Potsdam (DE) and Head of Department at the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (DE). He regularly reviews for Science, Nature Genetics, Plant Cell, Plant Journal, Current Biology, Developmental Cell, and Plant Physiology. He is a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher.
